WHO WE ARE

Owned by Ryan and Kim Williams. Ryan began framing at age 19, building his first home at age 21. He founded Willco Construction 11 years ago. Today, Willco builds new homes and works with leading commercial contractors, including Key Construction. Willco employs a crew of 5-20 depending on the scope of work and has framed many commercial buildings, such as 35,000 sq. ft. Cypress Springs (Webb and 21st), 15,000 sq. ft. Clark Investments at the Waterfront, and the 50,000 sq. ft. Health and Rehabilitation Center in Derby.

Kim graduated with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship and Marketing, and continued on to work in Marketing, Graphic Design and Photography. Loving the creativity of this work, led to joining her husband in the business as a Designer and Co-Owner. With a design focus to New Home Construction, we work directly with clients to create a home that is uniquely theirs and not mass produced.

We are, and plan to stay, a specialty builder. We build one-of-a-kind, custom homes and limit the number of homes we build each year. Our strength and our enjoyment of building, is in the design and possibilities of each home.

EMPLOYING OUR OWN CREW - We employ our own team that specializes in Wood Framing, Decks, Siding, Trim and Finish Work. Our lead foreman has worked for Willco Construction for over 9 years. The benefit to the homeowner, is getting a consistent, quality job, where most other builders rely solely on subcontractors. Employing our own crew gives us more control over the quality of work and gives the homeowner peace of mind that we are using a crew that has been with us for many years.

DESIGN EXPERTISE – With Willco Construction, you are not left on your own when it comes to designing your home. We make it a priority to stay on top of the latest design trends and materials available. Design has become an afterthought in this industry, where most builders, for the sake of cost and convenience continue to use the same design, materials, and vendors on each home, leaving you with a cookie-cutter look. We will partner with you to achieve the design aesthetic you are reaching for.

QUALITY – We build homes that are energy efficient and built to last. We do not cut corners - we do not use Tyvek, we trim out our windows, we do not texture the walls, we use higher rated insulation - just to name a few. We are one of the few that attains engineering in areas like the suspended concrete patio. This is not regulated by the city. On a recent job, we added steel reinforcements around the perimeter of the concrete patio and were told by the concrete subcontractor that they had never seen a builder go to that extent. Many things not seen by buyers after construction is complete, but the extra lengths Willco Construction goes to, to maintain our level of Quality.

TECHNOLOGY – We have spent the time and done the research to know what is available and what can be done. We find creative solutions and innovative products. As an example, we were one of the first in Wichita to offer a remote controlled screen on the patio. We refuse to keep doing things the way everyone else continues to.
